Current Location: Wharf Marina (SW Washington DC)
Miles Traveled: 12
Weather: Foggy early, mostly sunny later, calm, high-70s
Highlights: Lots of fog on the river this morning, so we waited until it burned off around 10 before raising anchor. Motored (no wind) up the river past National Harbor, under the Woodrow Wilson bridge, past Alexandria and the Anacostia River, and up into the Washington Channel to the marina. Lots of logs and debris along the whole trip. First dock they assigned to us was in a lousy location, with lots of birds crapping all over the deck, so after the 1st hour, we requested a new assignment, which they accommodated without too many issues. Settled into our second location, then took a walk around the Wharf and surrounding area to get our bearings. Quick nap late afternoon, then sundowners and dinner (lasagna and salad) while people watching.
