Current Location: Salinas Harbor Anchorage, Puerto Rico
Miles Traveled: 21 Weather: Mostly sunny, brief afternoon showers, breezy (8-12), low-80s Highlights: Raised anchor after breakfast this morning and went over to the Ponce Harbor YC to top up the diesel. Cleared the harbor around 10:30 and motor-sailed about 20 miles east to Salinas, which has a very protected harbor full of boats (a few derelicts), and also several boats tossed along the shores and up into the mangroves (remnants of Maria). We dropped anchor around 3, relaxed for a couple of hours, then took the dinghy over to the Full Moon restaurant for drinks and dinner. Amy had mofongo relleno (fried green plaintains with a red octopus sauce topping), while Terry had pasta alfredo with octopus. Food was fabulous, and it was great to finally be off the boat for a bit after almost a week at sea.
