Current Location: Leinster Bay Mooring, St. John, USVI
Miles Traveled: 18 Weather: Mostly sunny, windy (10-20), early morning showers, low-80s Highlights: Raised anchor after coffee and breakfast this morning and motored over to Leinster Bay on St. John. Wind was on the nose at 15-20 knots, and seas were very sloppy (4-6 foot waves), but as soon as we reached the shelter behind Christmas Cove, the ride smoothed out considerably. Grabbed a mooring ball around 11:15, got some lunch, then did some snorkeling around the small island at the mouth of the bay. Not much to see, and water is pretty stirred up from the winds of the last few days, but was good to get into the water and cool off from the hot sun. Drinks, naps, and reading for the rest of the afternoon, then Korean beef tacos for dinner tonight before turning in early after a long day first day of vacation.
