Current Location: Punta Tamarindo Beach Mooring, Culebra, Puerto Rico
Miles Traveled: 7 Weather: Mostly cloudy, afternoon showers, breezy (10-15), low-80s Highlights: Watched turtles around the boat this morning during breakfast, then decided we'd seen what we wanted here, and were getting tired of the northern swells rolling into the bay, so raised anchor and motor-sailed across the north shore and around to the west side of Culebra, grabbing a mooring ball in Punta Tamarindo bay around noon. Nice reef along the shoreline, so we all got some snorkeling in, seeing a good variety of fish, soft coral, some rock formations, and also a couple of lion fish. Terry went back to the boat for the Hawaiian sling, and was able to bag one of the fish, but the 2nd one disappeared somewhere, but at least the reef had one less unwelcome predator. Reading, naps, and relaxing rest of the afternoon, then cilantro lime, black beans, and shrimp with rice for dinner tonight. Played nertz and dominoes late into the evening for a very fun ending to the day.
