Current Location: Spring Cove Marina (Solomons, MD)
Miles Traveled: 61 Weather: Sunny, calm, high-90s Highlights: Raised anchor early (7AM) with expectation of long motor-sail up the bay to our summer home in Solomons. No wind at all, but no waves either, so motored up past the mouth of the Potomac, up to the Patuxent, and on into Solomons. Fought the currents and tide for the first few hours, and only averaged 4-5 knots, but once past the Potomac, we were able to motor around 6.2 knots at 2200 RPM. Made it to the marina just before 6PM, tied up, got the quick welcome package, then went looking for a bite to eat. Grill at the marina pool was closed, so we walked next door to the Angler Inn, got a pretty good dinner of burgers and fries, then back to the boat where we crashed early. Feels good to end a long trip without any issues, and this marina seems like a nice place to enjoy for the next few months.
