Current Location: Palm Cay Marina, New Providence, Bahamas
Miles Traveled: 31 Weather: Partly sunny, occasional showers, very windy, mid-70s Highlights: Raised anchor at 7AM, and had a vigorous sail over from Allen's Cay to New Providence (Nassau). Winds were 20-25 knots on our beam, and waves were 4-5 feet. Put a double reef in both the main and jib sails, but still averaged almost 8 knots most of the trip. Arrived at Palm Cay marina around noon, added 30 gallons of diesel to the tanks, then tied up to one of the T-Docks and got settled in. Amy was trying to shake off the "non-drowsy" effect of the dramamine she took last night, so we walked down the street about a mile to the ice cream store, and had a big bowl of chocolate caramel ice cream. Got caught in a rain shower on the way back, but sun came out pretty quick to dry us off. Started getting the boat ready for Jenn and Courtney's arrival tomorrow (yeah!!), then late dinner (leftovers) and off to bed.
