Current Location: Allen Cay, Exumas, Bahamas
Miles Traveled: 4 Weather: Mostly cloudy, showers, very windy, mid-70s Highlights: Got an early start by motor-sailing over to Allen's Cay with plans to visit the iguanas. Winds and seas are not going to be in our favor for a return trip this week with Jenn and Courtney, so we figured we better see them now while we're here. Dinghied over to the beach, and watched as about a dozen scampered out of the rocks and trees to come greet us. We brought some lettuce and fruit, which they were very happy to grab right out of Terry's fingers, and he can personally attest to the fact that they have very sharp teeth. Amy was more cautious, and left the feeding to him. Took a walk around part of the island, but looked like more rain was coming, so hustled back to the boat for some R&R. We were anchored next to a local fishing boat with 3 friendly guys, who came over around sun-down to offer some fish for trade. We offered 9 beers for 3 small groupers, and all sides were happy, so deal was struck. Terry had to clean the fish, but we now have some nice fillets in the freezer to grill up next week.
